Death Row Converts

Question --- If A Child Molester or A Mass Murderer Is On Death Row, And Is Saved, "Born Again", Should He Be Pardoned From Death Row?

Answer --- This is indeed a good question and one that, no doubt, has been on the minds of many Christians from time to time. In answering this question, we must remember that "Forgiveness Does Not Eliminate The Consequences of Sin".

If you tell your child not to go into the street, and he disobeys you and is hit by a car; are his injuries automatically healed if you forgive him for disobeying you? Of course not. If a man who, because of alcohol, drugs, etc., has cirrhosis of the liver, gets saved, is his liver automatically healed? Of course not. If a man is a thief and murderer and hangs on the cross next to Jesus but he gets saved, is his life spared. Of course not. Even though Jesus told him, "to day shall thou be with me in Paradise", he had to die for his crimes. Jesus did not say, "Hey you guys, this man just got 'born again', now let him off the cross.

We as parents need to teach our children that if they Sow Their Wild Oaks, they will Reap Them. If they go over fool's hill they will regret it. It's the Devil's Lie that certain sins are a "Passage Into Manhood". It takes a "real man" to say "no" to sin and temptations.

Galatians 6:7, "Be not [deceived; God] is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap."
